Instagram now has 400 million people posting. It is a creative and interactive lifestyle zone for brands and people. Given its rapid growth, continued high user engagement and unrestricted organic reach, Instagram has long been eyed by marketers as a prime opportunity to reach new audiences.
It counts with a younger audience than any of the other major networks, 70% of users are under 35.
Instagram generates a great engagement opportunity for brands, considering that 60% of users are logging in daily. On top of that, its users tend to interact with brands more than in any other network.
Over half of them say they follow their favorite brands via social networks – a figure which is almost 10 points ahead of the equivalent metric among Facebook users. Instagram users are also the most likely to view social networks as a place to research brands and products.
