A report made by Evidon, analyzing the evolution of social media sites between February and July of 2012, showed that Pinterest had a growth of 637% through the button “Pin”. Meanwhile, Facebook didn’t have more than 34% of evolution.
Pinterest’s success has been showed since the constant increase of its audience that, in only 2 years of existence, made it one of 30th most accessed sites in USA – reaching the number of 2.700% users growth in a year.
In total volume, the button “Like”, from Facebook, and the “+1” from Google+ still fight for the top spot, followed by “Tweet”, from Twitter. But we cannot ignore the impressive potential of Pinterest, which apparently arrived in the social media universe to stay.
