We all imagined: according to GFK, smartphones will lead the eletronics market for consumers in 2015.
In a recent speech for professionals in the business, Jurgen Boyny – sales and technology director for GFK – stated that the price for smartphones will decrease and that should increase the sales in emerging countries.
It is estimated that the highest increase in sales will be in Africa and Asia, where the number of gadgets sold should grow 6%. On the other hand, more developed regions such as USA and Europe will only grow about 3% and 2%, respectively. Globally speaking, the smartphones sector represents US$ 860 bi.
